BRIMFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A very popular annual event is once again underway in eastern Hampden County.

The cool and wet weather on Wednesday didn’t keep people away from what is said to be America’s oldest outdoor antiques flea market. For over 50 years the Brimfield Antique Flea Market which takes place along Route 20, has been drawing in people from all over.
Jeszar King of Sweettooth Collectibles told 22News, “You get a ton of people from all over the world. I mean from literally all over the world, there are a lot of celebrities that come out here and it’s not just an event it’s a show. It’s not just about buying antiques but it’s an experience that you get to share with your family and friends and stuff like that.”
“Over 30 years, seen a lot of change. I now feel like the old person which I used to feel like the young person here. We used to bring our kids in a wagon and drag them along. Other than that it’s just been great, we love it,” said Theresa Broom of Cedar, Michigan.
